What is fresh prawns
Fresh prawns are the best. There’s something about the way that they burst in your mouth with an intense sweetness that feels like heaven. They’re also local to the area, which means they don’t have to travel long distances to get here.
What makes our prawns so special?
We only use local seafood to create the best tasting prawns. Our seafood arrives fresh daily because we know that the fresher it is, the better it tastes. We use a unique cooking method to seal in the flavor of our prawns so they’re always full of flavor and never overcooked.
How to cook the perfect prawn
#1 Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a large pan. #2 Pat the prawns dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. #3 Place the prawns in the pan and cook for two minutes on one side. Flip them over and let them cook for an additional two minutes or until they’re pink. #4 Remove them from the pan onto a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce. It’s never been easier to indulge in the freshness of locally sourced ingredients.
Our favourite prawn recipes
Prawns are an excellent addition to a curry or stir-fry dish. The best way to cook them is by pan-frying them in a little oil for about five minutes on each side, until they turn bright pink. If you would prefer something milder tasting, try boiling the prawns in lightly salted water for around four minutes. Once they are cooked, remove the shells before eating. Our favourite Thai Ga-ree curry recipe is one of our most popular dishes as it’s not too spicy yet still has a rich and fragrant flavour.
Why prawns are good for you
Prawns are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which help to reduce inflammation. Omega-3 fatty acids are also good for lowering the risk of heart disease and stroke.
